MITRAL VALVE MEETING

A meeting designed for the CONTEMPORARY HEART-TEAM

Mitral valve interventions are rapidly evolving as an alternative option for patients who are currently not a candidate for surgery. In the future, transcatheter structural therapies may play an even larger role.

Differing from aortic valve interventions, transcatheter mitral valve therapies require a more sophisticated approach, since the disease can be very variable and multiple options are available to tailor the treatment to patient needs. Imaging plays a fundamental role in selecting patients and guiding procedures.

This course is designed for the Heart-team and aims to enhance communication and collaboration among physicians with different backgrounds who share the same passion for the mitral valve. Surgeons, interventional cardiologists, heart failure specialists and echocardiographists will join the meeting and share their opinions and knowledge to build an exciting multidisciplinary experience.
